ABOUT
Rosegrove is a Toronto-based practice led by Bertrand, focused on thoughtful, well-executed projects and renovations — from early planning to full renovation.
Before moving into construction, Bertrand spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry as a French chef and entrepreneur — an environment where precision, timing, and attention to detail are everything. That mindset now carries into every project.
Rather than coming from a traditional design or construction background, Bertrand developed his experience through real projects — working hands-on, coordinating trades, solving problems on site, and guiding clients through the process from start to finish.
Rosegrove was named after his twin daughters, Bonnie Rose and Marlowe Grove, and reflects a balance between craftsmanship, creativity, and everyday living. The work is grounded, detail-driven, and built to last.
Most of my work doesn’t start on site — it starts with helping people slow down and figure out what actually makes sense.

Each project is approached with the same mindset: clear communication, thoughtful decision-making, and proper execution.
Most of the work happens before anything begins — taking the time to think things through, ask the right questions, and make decisions that actually make sense.
Clients are involved in the process, with guidance provided where needed — especially around key design and material decisions. The goal is not just to create something that looks good, but something that works well and holds up over time.
The approach is practical and collaborative, shaped by real-world experience rather than theory. Every detail matters, and the process is just as important as the final result.
